Has anyone here ever used an Artificial Ground Unit? Are they helpful and under what circumstances? |

I have used one and they do help on very low frequency bands. On 160 and 80 the one i had improved receive and helped some what with transmit. Now as for CB use i doubt it will realy do much ...... I sold mine after i bought a spyro dipole .... the new antenna simply worked better |

Bruc: Thanks. I was thibking that a counterpoise would have little effect at 10/11 Meters. I was also thinking that a Grounded DC probably doesn't really need "tuned" for FR at those wavelengths. I am experiencing TVI in my house only -and I am not sure that it is TVI and not just amplitude modulation (audio somehow) across ONLY ONE TV speaker. I have tried TVI filters -no joy! So, I suspect a normal houshold grounding problem. I will attack that beast again.

The snap together data-line ferrite chokes that radio shack sells works wonders, got them on all my speaker wires and indoor telephone wires,at each end of speaker wires and about every 8 feet on telephone wires.Had to visit 4 rs stores to get enough. Bigbob |
