Where can I find the round MEMORY BATERY for a Ranger 2950 ? Does COPPER sell them ? If so how much do they cost ? If not, where can I find them ?...radio shack ? |

Radio Shack has them. Take it with you, often they have several numbers for the same battery. |

it is a 3volt lithium button cell,RCI part#EX08N41405 Possibly transferrs to a # like cr2032,Walmart jewlery counter would be another good source. tech291 CEF#291 kc8zpj |

the stock batt.s have solder tabs on them too. They are not the standard CR2032 tech291 talks of. (They are of the same voltage and size tho.) I soldered jumper wires at the PCB location and remotely mounted a PCB battery mount(from ratshack) so changing out the battery in the future would be much easier!Some have done the 2AA or 2AAA battery trick also.It's totally up to you. i have the two aa mod done to mine and it is simply the only way to go! forget and leave the power knob on and your not out a 4+ dollar lithium battery plus the time changing it! pop the bottom cover off and swap the two aa's! |
