I would like to know where in the circuit board the R-104 is located. I have no manual for this radio and have been unable to locate this resistor.
Thanks :

Aircop,
I would first have the alignment checked and fine tuned for the reciever, that may be all that is necessary.a recieve preamp would help but as broadbanded as most of them are(without any selectivity)they would also raise the noise level.in the past i have "tinkered" with washingtons and zachary t's,swapping out different transistors in the rf amp stages, trying faster diodes in the anl/nb circutes with mixed results.the biggest problem with that is the availability of sutable devices nowdays.
