Bigbob, Yes they are Great Amps. We love ours and have had it almost 2 years now and have found it works great with every radio we have used with it. We generally run 2-1/2 to 3 watts driving it. Lon Tech808 CEF808 N9OSN |

I have owned several amps for short periods, placing them in the mission field in Mexico. I kept a KLV-350 which I usually run at low power and it gives me 200W PEP, all the KL line are pretty good amps, but I especially like the 2 vacume tube varity, I also lkie the KL-40 for mobile with a clean stock AM radio like the Uniden xl-510 and a good antenna like a SS 102' whip cottrcyly tuned. On-Uff, no other switches. |

An individual told me that it would be like driving a klv-1000 with 1 watt you don't get max output but the tubes run cool as a cucumber,so to speak and the difference on the recieving end between 700 and 1200 is just noticable.Bigbob |
