What do you mean by motor noise? Spark plug, alternator, fuel pump or something else?

Make sure you use thick gauge wire and go to a solid ground for the radio power. Also try grounding the case of the radio.

Also can use an in-line filter.

I find running your power lead directly to the battery also helps.

Redwolf 145,

I'd start with what worked for me, by wiring directly to the battery with double fuses (positive and negative leads). This may do it. Oh, and make sure that the fuses are water proofed and that all connections are soldiered and waterproofed under the hood. Some will tell you that this is extreme, but it worked for me.

If that won't work, check out the link below.

Make sure its coming in through the power line first. It could be coming in through the antenna or coax. This is when it get tough to eliminate. Good luck.

If it's a newer vehicle, sometimes if
you contact the dealer they can help
you out or at least give you ideas./
Use resistor plugs and wires
in your vehicle, sometimes plugs or
wires break down and cause noise./
Its hard to tell you exactly what to do
as there is all kinds of things that
could cause noise./ Do you have any idea
what it may be????
