Doogie619, Harve is 100% correct. Try and use the Same Brand of coax you are using now when adding a jumper/piece of coax ie: RG8 use RG8, RG213 use RG213, RG8X use RG8X. Hope this helps, Lon Tech808 CEF808 N9OSN |

Unless you are a perfectionist. FORGET BOUT IT! If your using good coax you wont notice a diff like unit199 stated. |

Adding coax shouldn't be a problem. Just make sure you use good connectors and weatherproof the union very well. I don't know why the coax would have to be the same,as long as it's any 50 ohm coax it'll work just fine. The longer the length the better the grade of coax you'll want to use. |

Doggie619, I guess I should have said use the same Power Rating or Higher when adding coax. If your coax is rated at 1000 watts then use/add a piece rated at or above 1000 watts. ie: RG8X Mini/RG8/RG213 If you coax is rated at 2000 watts then use/add a piece rated at 2000 watts or above. ie: RG8/RG213 If your coax is rated at 5000 watts then use/add a piece rated at 5000 watts. ie: RG213 However if your setup does not put out 1000 watts and you never plan on putting out that much power then you can mix & match any of the above with good results. Hope this helps to clear things up, Lon Tech808 CEF808 N9OSN
