A few questions about the S9 if you will. 1.a. When the Top Gun is switched on, does it disable the rf power knob on the front of the radio? 1.b. If it does disable the front rf power knob, can the carrier be adjusted inside of the radio by a VR? 2. Is the speech compressor on all of the time, or just when the Top Gun Modulator or echo is on? 3. Can the AMT be turned off? I dont see an (off) like the echo has. 4. Do both the corse and fine clarifiers adjust TX? Or just the corse TX and fine RX? 5. Does the radio drift after 10mins of warm up? Once it is warm is it sable, or does it need fine tuning after warm up? 6. Are these radios as loud as the galaxy's and connex I have on AM? I like LOUD AM radios. 7. Does the D-104MB6 work well on this radio? 8. I have heard some confusion on this one. Will the radio display all 6 digits on the frequency counter and the channel on AM and SSB on 11 meters? Thanks for the information. RFIcon

RFIcon In order: no, the power knob still works Obviously, since the first answer was no, this one is null I believe, it is just when the TopGun is on The AMT doesn't have an"off" but all way down is as good as off I believe they are both tx/rx but I havent actually checked, I havent had any of the problems assosiated with a "just rx" clarifier, so probably not Drift is minimal if at all durring warm up, MUCH less than a Galaxy In my opinion, YES, louder! Yes, use mine all the time, also have the stock mic hooked up via the "double barrel" mic plugs YES, Patzerozero seems to have problems with this one for some reason, but it IS suppoesed to and mine DOES but you DO have a choice! Well there ya go! BC |
