you will need to install a electolytic capacitor across the power and ground wire.I used a 1000 uf 16 volt on mine and it worked.put neg lead of the cap to the neg wire and pos to pos wire.I started out with a 470 and a 1000 worked best on my radio .a ranger 696F mobile
