This may be a silly question but what the heck I'm a silly guy! I was just wanting to know, If I set my amplifier on top my radio can that cause any damage in the future through daily use and could that cause any unwanted side effects as far as performance. I read somewhere that they thought the same thing may damage the sensitivity of a reciever. Please drop the 411 on me sirs. |

Hotwire, There are NO silly questions. I have ran amplifiers mounted directly on top of my radios for over 20 years now (Mounted with Nylon wire ties and before that with Duct Tape) and have had no problems. I mout a lot of amps to radios in Big trucks and have always mounted the Amp directly to the radio to save space and make operation easy. And the KL-500 fits VERY NICE on top of the VR-9000.
