Just wondering if the KLV 550 uses a fan inside it's cabinet to cool things off ? I would also like someone to confirm what devices it uses. I see the manufacturer lists the devices as MRF422's, but I cant find any info on those. How many does it use, if that is the correct pill ? Thanks,

I think you can actually put bigger finals in the klv-550 and make it do almost double it's factory power but I dont remember where I read it

it has 2-mrf 422=150watts each but i think that they run at 24volts so higher voltage allows them to put out more,in size yhey are bigger around than the 2879

Hey Sonoma,
How much noise do those fans make ? The single one in my KLV200 is driving me nuts. It is mounted on the bottom of the chassis, and sounds like a dustbuster on steroids. I have it sitting on foam blocks to cut down the noise, but my desk mic still picks it up.

The MRF422s are rated at 150W out each at 24VDC.

Hey, what happened to 181 and 307 on this one? I am interested in their reply and have asked elsewhere on this site. I wanted to know the availability and cost of the tubes in the smaller versions.

Come on guys. Haste makes waste, but silence raises questions! Just a friendly reminder!
