I plan on getting one to run on my base.I will have 100ft. of RG 8 from antenna to AS-100 then 3ft of RG8 from AS100 to radio #1.Then 50ft of coax from AS-100 to radio #2.Will this work ok?Is it too much coax?Is it ok if the 50ft piece is RG8X?

I have not used an AS-100 yet but see nothing wrong with the setup you discribe.
