I was wondering how to tell the difference between a new and a old style Uniden pro 510xl and the same for a Uniden 520xl?I have found power mods for both the 510 and 520 xl's they are both the same mods but I heard from some place that on the xl's newer boards not to cut d-14 so what would be the difference?Can somebody please help me understand the differences and anything else you might think I would need to know on these new and old XL's?Also I can not find any schematics for these radios for either the new or older versions,any idea as to where I could find these here on the web?I hope I have made myself clear in asking these questions,if not tell me and i will try and make myself more clear.Any Information or input would be greatly appreciated. #1 ~ None of the Copper Forum Moderators or Techs actually work for Copper Electronics and None of us are Located in Louisville, KY. where Copper is located.
ALL of the Copper Techs and Moderators Volunteer our time to help when & where we can.
#2 ~ We try and help when and where we can as OUR time allows us to do so.
#3 ~ All of the Copper Techs have full time jobs and families that also take up our time and limits the amount of time we can spend / donate on the Copper Forum.
#4 ~ I personally cannot tell you the difference as I have never owned or worked on one of the newer 510's, mine is over 15 years old and still works great.
#5 ~ If we do not Own a specific radio or have had no experience or schematics on a radio or model we cannot offer help / advice.
I apologize but if none of know the the answer to every Question that is posted NONE of us are going to guess at it and post false information.
You will never hear any of the Copper Techs or Moderators say we know everything about anything as we are always learning every day the exact same as every other Forum Member on the Copper Forum is.
Also all of the Copper Techs and Moderators do not have the time to check the Forum every day or even every other day to try and offer help.
However when we do we will continue to try and help when and where we can.
