connect meter to base and measure the junction by red probe ( + ) to collector then emitter then reverse the probes put black probe ( - ) on base and measure c and e again. THEN measure collector to emitter the same way. NOW this will only tell you the devise in not FRIED or open but 90% of the time if it shows good this way it probley is. |

I bought one of those cheap Rat Shack transistor checkers. It works ok, I guess. You might wanna try that? |
