sorry, I forgot to say why I want to know this. When finish my transmission on SSB the other person I`m talking to starts talking back to me and the delay is to long and cuts off the beginning of there transmission. Thanks |

there are several one old one is to put a vairable resistor in the circut to change the time constant of the cap that keeps the relay down ........ i would check the net for a already designed one. |

Most sideband operators know there is a delay on an amp, therefore they wait a bit before starting their transmission, I agree with Bruce about putting in a pot to adjust the delay hang time. Most times on channel 38 LSB the operators do wait a bit before they start transmiting. 73, Carl CEF-357

Airplane, What do you mean by hot if your amp. gets overly hot to the touch, you are running to much power into the amp, and this shortens the life of an amp. greatly. 73, Carl CEF-357 |

Yankee, it gets hot but not to hot to touch. i`m running about 2 watts am and about 10-12 watts ssb into it. it just seems the delay is longer then when i bought it. and as it gets hotter it starts to get a longer delay. anyway I want to put the pot in it like you said so i can adjust it. any websites with instructions or anyone out there that would do it for me? it a kl500 mobile. thanks

Sounds like a relay is sticking, I have had that happen with several amps, sometimes a good cleaning with contact spray will help. |
