Can any one tell me what would be a good mic upgrade for my uniden grant XL? which one that copper sells?
I am useing it as a base so I dont have to worry about backgroud noise.
I just want a better mic, people I have talked to say they can tell i`m on a stock mic.

Hey Lon,
I am ordering connectors, reducers and the DM452 super star mic from copper for my Grant XL today.I also have a 696F mobile and was wondering if this mic will work on it too?

Yes it will work GREAT on your696F radio.
The DM-452 is the Mic that we use 24/7/365 on our 696F SSB Base since the CEF nets started. 
You may need to order a Mic Adapter also to use it on Both the Grant XL and the 696F.
