I have a junker used 510 that works good on TX keys up 5 watts and swings to 15 and the radio receives but the receiver audio from the speaker is very, very, weak. You have to hold the radio to your ear to hear anything. Hook up a external speaker and its the same deal. The radio is the older version with the 1987 date on the board. Inside the radio there is a gold heatsink near the audio section of the rig and it gets very hot when the radio is turned on and working. So whats the deal? Is it in the audio chip? |
