If I put an Antron 99 on a 40 ft. push up pole. and connect the push up pole to the side of my trailer how high is it safe to raise the pole without using guide wires to secure it. I live in a park and guide wires are out of the question. Thanks Wendy

I had my Imax2k up on two 12 foot slip together poles and it was securly bolted to the side of my house (first pole clamped to the side up to the top). During windy periods the Imax would sway all over the place. The winds here top out around 40 mph and I would normally go out and bring it down to only one section of pole. There is quite a bit of force on the antenna even though it was only 34 feet to the tip of the antenna. Basically I'm saying you shouldn't put the antron99 up that high with out wires supporting it. Your looking at about 60 feet of antenna up in the air possibly tipping over onto neighbors houses. |

Wendy, I put a verticle antenna on top of a 40 ft push-up pole stuck between some trees and that sucker looked like a wet noodle, flipping all over the place, cant do it without guide wires. |

Are you able to put a mast up? And get something that is bing enough to support that mast to slide it over? I know that is our problem now at the apartment, we don't want to have to put up guide lines, so we have a push up pole and our IMaxx just sways, I'm afraid its gonna fall off, but I know he has it secured. I just hate watching it sway the way it does. |

No I am unable to put up a mast. A push up pole is the most I can do. I hope to move someday. Get my own land then I can do what I want. Wendy |
