What modulation mods can be done to the Cobra 19 ltd II Classic radio? Also Can Xtra channels be put in it? Thanks Wendy |

Wendy I'm sorry to say that there isn't really much that can be done with those little Cobra 19s. The best thing you can do to get more modulation is turn VR-4 all the way open or just cut D-7. You can also adjust L-7 and L-8 for a little more power but the tiny bit of increase you may get will NEVER be noticable on the receiving end of anyones S-meter. Since this is not a sideband radio, personally I wouldn't bother with a Cyrstal Kit even if there was one available for it. This is pretty much a bare-bones radio. Jeff. |

Wendy I'm sorry that the mod didn't work out. There were quite a few varients of the Cobra-19 but the biggest problem with them was the fact that they never made two of them alike. I oppologize for any misinformation that I may have given you in reguards to your Cobra-19. Jeff Tech548 |
