I had a question about the Kenwood TS-520S maybe someone can help me out? On the fixed frequency operation... I was wanting to know more about the available crystals that could plug into the Crystal oscillator circuit (C-O-C). Has anyone modified the TS-520S for any 11 meter RX/TX for SSB? I have the formulas and found a supplier for the crystals but wanted to know if the crystals would plug into the C-O-C board, and has anyone performed this modification before? I am mostly interested for the frequency of the CEF nets in general. Thanks! |

Looks like that is not possible, since the frequency bandwidth will be too short. I need to change out the crystals on the band switch ah well.

very simple. take one of the 10 meter crystals out. if the one for 28 mhz is 34.995 then get a crystal for 33.995. net the crystal on freq and ur done will cover whole 11 meter band plus. tony/n5jva |
