I have a strange problem with a old 2510. The main board is dated 1988. The problem is that when I key the mic the audio from the speaker drops as it should and the TX indcater appears but no power out and also when the mic is keyed the S meter still shows incoming signals. I bypassed the mic and grounded pin 3 to ground to see if it was the mic but same thing as with the mic hooked up. Could it be bad finals??? |

OK sounds like it not really going to tx but I may be wrong. I suspect that this one might be work bench case. Let me chase around here and find my schematics for 2510 and I'll may be able to give a better answer in a day or two.. |

I may have to agree with Bruce on this one. Also could be a bad solder connection on the PC board itself. Time to get out the light and magnifying glass. |
