Hello I just recived my deltaforce in the mail. now I check the power output via a dummyload and a mfj watt/swr meter and it shows as follows all over the bands 26 mhz something to 29.600 mhz am low 0.5 watt -am high 5watt - fm low 0.7 watt - fm high 15watt - ssb 15 watt. it pulls about 6 amp in high on ssb/fm and about 4 amp on high am. modulation sounds great on all modes, strange :-( I also double checked with my antenna with abt 1.3.1 in swr with same result. any suggestions Yours Sincerly Tom in Oslo |

hello Alsworld :-) ok with the AM low and high carrier wattage, will try that. I use same watt/swr meters with my FT-990 rig and it is accurate. the fm/am mode shows the same with the internal meter on the radio when power on am/fm is set to minimum with the pwr control the needle going straigth down to the left. but I will try to get antother watt meter just to check. Thanks for answering Yours Sincerly Tom in Oslo |

Tom, my bad here. Being I don't use FM, I had not even realized that FM was variable power also. Well it is and it all makes sense now and I apologize for my confusion. Sounds like a tweaking here and there will get that radio in the ballpark you want. Good luck, as the Delta Foce is a sweet talking radio! Alsworld |

I have not been able to find much information on those. FM was dead-on for mine luckily, but maybe the website will show you the FM pot to adjust (assuming there is one) I did open the AMC pot a little which helped achieve some AM swing, but I try and keep modulation at 100% or lower by using the mic gain. Good luck and enjoy that radio! Alsworld |

Hallo Tech808 & Alswold Many Thanks to both of you :-). on the list I spotted RV-116,I`ll try to tweak it a little, just to see if it helps. BTW I took a walk with my handheld and put the my wify on the DeltaForce, just for checking how the DeltaForce was doing, and it sounded just great on FM/AM, and other pepole has giving me great reports on SSB, so its no doubt that this is a great radio.just to bad that it was not tuned properly, and I do not have the rigth equipment to do a full proper tuneup. BTW nice forum you got here :-) Tom |

20mg355 When adjusting power, turn the power control knob all the way clockwise and set the high power pot (VR-118) first. Then turn the power control knob all the way counterclockwise and set the low power (VR-117). Do not set high power beyond 10 watts maximum. Low power should be set at 1.5 to 2 watts. Into a dummyload and in the sideband mode, turn the ALC (VR-116) wide open. You should see around 30-35 watts now on SSB and FM. The DeltaForce and the Omega are the only 10 meter radios that will show you a FM deadkey of power that will be the same as SSB power. In other words, if you see 32 watts of FM power, that's exactly what you're going to get on SSB. There are quite a few nice modifications that can be done on the Delta. Jeff. |

20mg355, Yes, it is very uncommon for an Owner/Maunfacturer to care enough about his customers to actually take the time out of there busy schedule to Join an Internet Forum and actually care enough about the people who own his products to help with answers for his customers. I may be wrong but I do not know of any other Forum on the internet that actually has a real live Owner/Manufacturer that enjoys helping his customers with any problems they may have or that might arise. Should you ever have any problems with your radio Mr. Lewis has also allowed me to issue RA (Return Authorization) numbers for the RF LIMITED / MAGNUM INTERNATIONAL products for the Copper Forum Members. Now we need to get you to join our CEF Radio Group so you can be the First Member form Norway. We have member's in Australia, Canada, Italy, New Zealand and Mexico now and would love to add a member from Norway to our membership list. The Copper Forum, the Forummaster, and the Moderators and Techs will continue to strive to be the First to bring our Forum Members New and Exciting Products and Features, New Forum Areas, Updates, and News that relates to the Radio World and Helpful Information. Have a good dinner Lon Tech808 |

There is a resistor on the variable power pot, remove it and resolder wire back to pot and that will give you full power on the delta. |
