KB, Take one of the lumps out of your mattress and buy an astron, it will be the last power supply you need to buy, unless you have really bad luck. I have had all kinds, sold the rest on E-Bay, and bought two astrons, well worth the money! Rich |

I have used just about all of 'em. I have an Astron and a Trip-lite. The trip lite had been submerged under 6 ft of water for about 3 days about 10 years ago, I cleaned it up and it is still working today, it is the 25amp model. My ham shack was in the basement and we had 11.0" of rain in less than 24 hours almost 10 years ago my basement window busted and the basement was completely under water within a few minutes. It was the only piece of gear that worked after the flood. So that is my $.02 |

The one thing I've never understood is the mislabeling of products out there. For instance, a power supply sold by copper made by Tripplite. It is marketed as the "Tripplite 60-Amp power supply. However, it is only capable of 48-Amps continous. And if you ran it to 60 you'd burn it like bread in a toaster to long. Why not just call it a 48-Amp to begin with? A amplifier with a marking of 300A that only puts out 100 Watts max. etc. To me it makes logical sense to make the model number equal to the wattage. Hence 150 watts equalls the Model 150A Benson Amp, etc. Makes sense, right? Just my way of thinking. In my opinion Tripplite is "false Advertising" that power supply.
