My 2950DX lost almost all power out and I have ran out of ideas to fix it. I have replaced the pre-driver, driver, and both finals. The diodes at base of finals are good, and I reset the bais to levels suggested in the RCI tune directions(bias was way to high) The radio was bought new about 3 years ago and was modified(turbo tuned) by XXXXXXX XXX(Now gone) about 1 month after I got the radio I returned it for repair for the same problem. Can inyone help or suggest a good tech to send it to, my RCI Tech passed away about 1 year ago so I havent had it looked at. Thanks Steve |

Nobody077 If you haven't already, check the voltage regulators while radio sits at idle and at key-down on A/M. Just a suggestion. Jeff, kc0gxz. |

Thanks Jeff, I have to take another look at the crapy PDF copy of the schmatic/service manual I have for the radio to locate all the regulators. I did check voltage at finals and they are about 5.6v at RX and drop to .6v at key am/fm and 9.09vusb at rx and 6.65v tx no mod and drops to 1.75v with a wistle. Tech808, I will give 8541 an e-mail in the next few days after I final give up on the radio. I was going to use it as a driver for a 2m transverter but I gust traded the transverter for a 2m RFC 10w-170w amp, so the RCI is only being used to listen on 11m for now.
