Can anyone tell me any specs on this radio? Single/Dual final? Freq range? Any other radios that the internals are similiar to or the same? Anything you can provide would be greatly appreciated, as I am coming up empty handed on all web searches. |

I got a good questio bout this radio 808. I got one in the shop. Channel display has segments that dont work, naturally i thought the display itself was the prob. After I replaced the led display i noticed that the segments not working depended on what channel you were on. Is it just a part burnt out on the channel/freq board or is it nessiscary to replace the whole board? Also what is the stock final for a northstar. it looks as though the final was replaced with a 2312 final. The stock for a galaxy. If I remember right the northstars had a better final then the galaxy. I know it has been replaced cuz you can tell on the solder side and the rubber piece that goes behind it is missing. Thje driver has its but the final doesnt. I have been told and have noticed that northstar, connex, and galaxy are all the same monster with slight differences. As i remember the northstar was the caddie. Better volt. reg., better final, and a speech proccessor. I know the faces and most of the internal parts are the same. Galaxy 33, northstar 330, connex 3300, all basically thesame. |

Semo rebel, Sorry but I cannot offer any help to you on this one as I have never worked on or had a Northstar Radio or even opened one. Maybe one of the other Forum Members will be able to help you. Lon Tech808 |
