Pp1616 This is what 307 wrote word for word on the subject of frequency counter buzz. ------------------------------------ Go to Radio Shack, Pick up a 330 uF AXIAL LEAD Capacitor. 1) Remove BOTTOM COVER. 2) Remove the small screw holding the COUNTER MODULE in place. 3) Locate IC8 (7805A) transistor. 4) Directly in front of IC8 is a small capacitor 100 uF 16 Volt. 5) Attatch the NEW capacitor in PARALLEL with the existing one. (note the CENTER PIN of IC8 is the NEGATIVE side of the capacitor). 6) The capacitor will "lay" beside the existing one. 7) Put the rig back together, BUZZ GONE. -------------------------------- Jeff, kc0gxz. |
