Having a problem with this radio and was wondering if anyone could be of any help..
The radio works great on LSB and USB, BUTTTTTTT
when you try to run it on AM the radio has no trasmit power at all. The green led switched to red like its keying up but nothing...Have checked the 2sb754 and its fine. Also when on sideband the frequency counter is dead on accurate but when you switch to AM the freq. counter jumps up 8-10 numbers and the clairify has no control at all...
Any help will be greatly appreciated

the vco is unlocking in am mode because something in the vco offset oscillator for the am circuit has either a bad solder connection (most likely) or something has gone bad.
