you may want to check these on another wattmeter. with 2 radios having very similar low readings, i would suspect the meter b4 for the radios. |

Mrblack Another thing you might want to check out is your power supply voltage. Check it while you have the radio keyed. It's possible that you may have a blown voltage regulator since both of your radios are acting the same way on transmit. Jeff, kc0gxz. |

Mrblack What changes have you made to your station recently? Different coax jumpers? Meter? Antenna? Coax switch? If both radios were up to par BEFORE this happened, it would be my guess that the problem lies elsewhere other than with the radios. SWR problem perhaps? I'm running out of ideas. Jeff, kc0gxz. |

There is something wrong with the radios. I have a 68 uiden on the same ant. and it works good. There were no changes on my system. Put the vr9000 in the truck and the same thing low watts. I would think that what is wrong with the vr9000 is whats wrong with the 88. thank for your help...

Mrblack Do the lights dim on the radios when you key up and talk on them? This would be more noticable on sideband. Also, are you using the original power cords? Your turn Rick. Jeff, kc0gxz. |
