Physical size wise they are small like 1446s but hopefully they are bigger power wise. The older 350s used 90 watt transistors, I guess I'll call them on monday.....thanks for the help.

if you look at the power ratings of the 1446s in rf parts, for 2-30 megs they will do 90 watts at 50 megs they fall off to 70 watts.

The Hurricane 350 uses 492 transistors, you can substitute 3800's without making any changes. I have ran co-phased 350's for years. This was the first AMP to have the long transformers in them. It's a talking beast.

Got an old palomar elite 250 with long output transformers in it,the 350 hurricane like many used different pills at diff. times,mrf492s may not be interchangeable with pt9847s,the pt9847s may have been put in by another tech or a goldenscrewdiver, find out as much info on it as you can from the web, then make your descision.

The 492's or 3800's will fit a hurricane unless it's been modified for 2879"s as mentioned above. I've ran this hall of fame 350 hurricane singularly and I owned a cophased set until they were destroyed in a house fire at my technician's place. I guarantee they will work.
