B&K scopes have appealed to the amateur and hobbiest for years due to their lower prices...however their quality shows it too. If you ever use a lab grade scope you'll never want to see another B&K. Besides, with the biggggg sucking sound of technology jobs going to China and other points abroad and electronics manufacturers closing everywhere in the USA, used "Lab graede" test equipment is going for 10 to 20 cents on the dollar as compared to new prices and not too far off from the price of used B&K stuff. I prefer Rohde & Schwarz scopes for the attention to detail they have applied to their designs over the years. Watch eBay for Hewlett Packard, Tektronics and Rohde & Schwarz scopes. you should be able to find a late model 100MHz or better scope very reasonable. Storage scopes are nice too!!! |

Thanks Bruce, I know there are several that I see advertised in various electronic and radio mags that I get. I'm wondering if the one you have is one of them. I have a Tek. 545 old beast with cart that needs some TLC. Maybe this spring I'll work on it.
