The clarifier on my Comanche Warrior is to touchy, in other words if you turn it just slightly it goes from sounding like a cricket to sounding like the devil. I can't tune people in just right. Is there any way I can fix that? Maybe change the pot or something? If so, what pot would you recommend? Thanks, Lyn |

Cactusjack I'm curious to know how much range you have on your clarifier as it is. It shouldn't much more than a few Khz from lock to lock if it's still in its stock form. Jeff, kc0gxz. |

Ok, here are my recomendations, undo the clarifier mod and do this one.. 1. Find J94 &J132 2. Cut J132 in half 3.Solder jumper from J94 to J132, the half closest to the crystal.. Thats it!!! You might need to adjust VR50(RV50) to get a little more slide in one direction or the other.. VR50 is a fun one to find, since im here, i will tell you.. It is right by the clarifier control.Soldered next to it.. Can't miss it if your looking next to the petentometer for the clarifier.. Right by it..... Out of 30 radios, i have only had to adjust VR50 Once.... This is the easiest clarifier mod for this radio.. |

Never did a mod to it. Been to busy. I think I decided to just wait and get a real Base radio. Thanks for your suggestions though. |
