Can the Grant LT be expanded for freeband frequencies? If so, how? Thanks. |

I saw this mod and have no idea if its valid but check it out ...... 1-Install two spst switches, or make two of the front panel switches available. 2- Wire one of the switches to where it grounds pin 10 of the pll chip 3- Wire the ohter switch to where it connects pins 11 and 12 together.. The frequency range is now 26.815-28.045 |

Forget who put this on the web, so sorry I can't credit them, but one this works. The grant lt is very easy to modify. You can do it very easily with two single pole switches. Connect one switch from ground to pin # 10 and connect the other switch from ground to pin # 11. That's it. You're done. Both switched open = normal channels Both switches closed = middle HF channels Switch for pin # 10 closed = upper HF channels Switch for pin # 11 closed = below one channels I may may switch 10 and 11 funtions backwards but you should get the general idea. use the Bright and dim and also the Hi and Low tone switches. Here is the channel map after the above mod channel FREQUENCY FREQUENCY FREQUENCY 1 - 27.605 2 - 27.615 3 - 27.625 4 - 27.645 5 - 27.655 6 - 27.665 7 - 27.675 8 - 27.695 9 - 27.705 10 - 27.715 11 - 27.725 12 - 27.745 13 - 27.755 14 - 27.765 15 - 27.765 27.455 26.815 16 - 27.795 27.475 26.835 17 - 27.805 27.485 26.845 18 - 27.815 27.495 26.855 19 - 27.825 27.505 26.865 20 - 27.845 27.525 26.885 21 - 27.855 27.535 26.895 22 - 27.865 27.545 26.905 23 - 27.895 27.575 26.935 24 - 27.875 27.555 26.915 25 - 27.885 27.565 26.925 26 - 27.905 27.585 26.945 27 - 27.915 27.595 26.955 28 - 27.925 29 - 27.935 30 - 27.945 31 - 27.955 32 - 27.965 33 - 27.975 34 - 27.985 35 - 27.995 36 - 28.005 37 - 28.015 38 - 28.025 39 - 28.035 40 - 28.045 |
