Recently purchased a modified 148 where the NB/ANL switch is used for switching to extra frequencies. The problem now is that I'm now picking up engine noise, this is not a problem when my 2510 is installed. It seems like the radio has NB/ANL shut off. Is there anything I can do to manually turn it on???

Manually cross the wires that were removed from the NB/ANL switch inside the radio.

or just go buy a engine noise filter from radio shack they work very well.. just make sure it is the 20 amp one, the 12 is not that good.
