How high does the swr have to be before it causes radio damage?Does copper sell echo or connex boards? |

Snowman, Here's an example according to the Owners Manual that came with my Galaxy 99... "The TRANSCEIVER will operate into an SWR of 2 to 1 indefinitely and sustain an SWR of 20:1 for a maximum of 5 minutes at rated operating conditions." Of course this varies with the output of the radio, and other factors. Keep in mind that a high SWR is power lost. So strive to keep it as low as possible. As far as the boards? Call Copper and ask.
