alright most of use care about watts and ghost watts and how a bird meter is about the best watt meter but what is the best swr meter. remember it doesnt matter how much you put out if you swr is to high!! so what is the best true swr meters out there? thanks |

I would recommend a double/cross needle SWR meter. The one I use is an MFJ-815B. It shows outgoing power, SWR, and reflected power, so you know how much loss there actually is. It tells you right on the scale what percentage is being reflected back at each SWR increment. Not too expensive either. Steve Tech181 Tech181@copperelectronics.com |

hmmm cause i have a mfj meter and it and the 4 other meters i have all show a different swr!! i dont know what one to believe anymore. ok thanks for input maybe ill just buy a brand new one and get rid of my older ones. thanks again |

None of my Dosy's read exactly the same,but I don't consider CB's as rocket science.My MFJ 259 is probably more accurate than most I've had but I'm sure it's not perfect and I don't require or expect it to be.If the MFJ reads 1.2 swr at 51 ohms then I accept it and ratchet jaw on. |
