How do I clip the clarifier so can move transmit with receive? Also I've heard that tubes are coming back again? Is this so?

TUBES ARE DEAD they are not comming back. Now some audio amps that use them but dont expect to see your cb set glowing in the dark any time soon.

Probaly correct as far as radio's go, but amps is another story.
