A coax jumper, I know multiples of 3 is the magic number I guess. Can they be shorter, say a foot? |

yep,I made one 3 inches long including the pl-259s,and I'm currently using one 35 feet long,if your antenna is very close to 50 ohms impedance it's reactance will be negligable meaning your swr won't change very much with differing lengths of coax.Bigbob |

I've made jumpers 6 inches long where people wanted to mount a little amp right on their radio, works great. I also have a 150 foot "jumper" from my shop to the house and it shows no loss. |
