Hello 307 I have a RCI 2980 raido it works fine,I don't like using a amp. but I love talking skip on sideband Ihave been thinking about the 2995dx which I think is a great raido,but I have been told that the Saturn Turbo is better. Which one would be the best?And where can I find a turbo? And also give me some names of other raidos in this class.Love to get one from Copper.OH yes need the six dig.frec.counter. Thanks for your help. By the way if I get one from coppers would you mod. it? Wayne CM1595 |

I'd definitely rather have a 2995dx over the saturn turbo or 2990.
Copper will do the mod for you if you select the convert and tune option when you purchase, but it's not hard to convert yourself--it comes with a little module that needs to be plugged in, that's all. |

Wayne,check out the galaxy 95-t,with the right p.s. you will have 80 watts on am and 200 watts on ssb,the most powerful radio Copper sells,uses 2 2sc2290s for finals,cool.Bigbob |

Hmm,I was led to believe that they only had one,pardon me,as I have never had one open to look at,man,did I make a mistake,I shoulda bought a 2995dx,a couple of diplexers and 2 TSdx1600s,HOLEE,but then I'd have to put in a 200 amp service,oh well,I'll just stick with my puny dx2517. |

The Stonewall Jaskson Base Radio is not new.
Yes it is the same as the Saturn Turbo and 2990DX models.
Very good radio.
CEF #225 Bluebird & CEF #166 Corn Cob both have them and use them, I set them up and both have had NO Problem's in the last 1 1/2 years.
They are Imported into the US as an EXPORT 10 Meter Radio.
For the same money I suggest getting a 2995DX with Far More Feature's and 12 Meter's and you will have a Good Warranty.

Thanks Tech 808 I think the 2995DX is a great raido, At my location there is only one dealer who has that raido,I have gotten some raido equipment from that dealer,spent over $2,500.00 but the owner is a very rude person,when I stop by to ask questons about that raido and when I bought a RCI 6900FTB and had trouble out of it after having it about 9 months and he was very rude about repair. So I think I will try Copper Electronics. It might take a while but I think I will get better service. Thanks for the info. Oh yea I am sending the RCI back to factory,with no help from him. |

Which Mobil Raido Would Be the Best: I am thinking og getting a new mobil raido,and use it for a 2nd raido on base I like the RCI 6900TB 150 watts but I have also heard of some good things about the Connex4800DXLEA big price of the two raidos. Thanks for the help!!! Wayne CEF 158!!!! |

Depending on the size of the Power Supply you have I would suggest the Ranger 2970DX. It will give you 10/11/12 Meter's after Tune up and Conversion. And a Two Year Warranty.

Thanks Tec 808 haven't gotten a power supply yet but plan to build a nice looking case for raido and put a fan kit on it. Well Copper will be hearing from me soon. Thanks!!! Wayne CEF158 Oh yea when I get it fixed I will post a picture of it. |
