I have a Echo Max 2000 mic hooked up to my 2995dx. With the roger beep off on the radio and on , on the mic the radio skips up a channel when I key the mic. When it is off on the mic and on ,on the radio it doesnt do this Any ideas?? |

Hi RD, Somehow the mic must be sending the radio a small stray voltage spike, and the radio interpets that as a channel up command. Check out the mic plug soldering job, it could be shorting out a pin. Hope that helps. BTW, Hope your healing well. 73's |

I don't have a clue what would cause that but I run a 2990dx with a Sadelta echo master plus mic and when i only run the single tone beep in the radio it does fine. When I only run the dual tone beep in the mic it also does fine. But when I run both of them either the radio beep cancels out or the last tone on the mic cancels out. Just swaps out!! |

Radiodude, Check the Mic Plug and make sure Nothing is Touching or Shorting out, Mic Pin #5 Channel DOWN or Pin #6 Channel UP BOTH PINS SHOULD BE OPEN / NO CONNECTONS If these are ok then the problem is with the Echo Max 2000 not the radio. Hope this help's Lon Tech808 |
