They claim more performance than a Wilson 5000......don't know the manufacturer. Found this antenna on another website. Does anyone have 1st hand knowledge? |

i purchased z-180 .it's ok with a barefoot radio.not that hot when running power.i think my wilson 1000 out performed it.when i install it .i adjusted it so my swr was 1.1.i wasn't get the same output as my wilson.but every vehicle is different.i have a friend that runs the z-180.it works well.he is barefooted.i run a texas star sweet sixteen.i'm always trying different antennas.i'm going to try a BB antenna next its similiar to 55 or monkeymade antennas.i let you know the results.this is only my opinion.73's |

I was interested because these antenna's are supposed to be able to outperform a Wilson 5000......at least that is what is says on the website. |

I have used a great number of mobile antennas looking for an edge, I have used those huge "beer can coil" antennas, top loads, center loads, and about any configuration you can imagine. For overall performance (not counting the 102 inch whip, which is just too long), I have yet to find one that beats the Wilson. I use a 1000, I also use a 5000, for some reason on my application the 1000 seems to have better ears. |

I use the Wilson 5000s over the 1000s because the coax is more heavy duty........that is the only reason. Wilson says the 5000 will handle 5000 watts.........that is a laugh riot though, I don't believe mini 8 coax will like 5000 watts through it. |
