anyone know how well these amps are built? kinda cheap for a supposed "KW" amp...also the russian tubes in there el519 what is the power rateing on these tubes..i find it kinda hard for a "receive sweep tube" being only 4 of them in the hi drive unit to produce 1kw.

depends on the voltage going to the tubes,power wise.they are very good amps |

just got one hooked it up to a Bird meter.the kind F.C.C. uses and a 5000w dummy load.AM with
4 watts in 500 out.20 watts SSB in 700 out.I've
never got an amp that puts out what they say.I've
seen this so much that I always go gigger to get what I want.I was looking for 500 out am and 800
SSB.So Im happy with it even the price.It sound real clean from what im told. |
