I was thinking of installing a SP-1 processor in a older 2950. Is the SP-1 the same as the CBC Intl Processor ? Is there any benefit to using one in a radio with either a NPC-RC or Turbo Tune mods performed ? I have done the audio mods from the RCI web pages to my 2950 with good results on AM. I came across a SP-1 for free, so I was being curious of what you think ?

They are great for Sideband , I recommend them. They add a lot of punch...

I installed the SP-1 in my 2950 and it works very well. It is different from the CBCI processor. I went ahead and left the RCI WEB Heavy Swing Mod in the radio for use on AM. I am also using a Turner+2 desk mic, and it all works good together.
