Someone said that my radio has too much bass in the audio and I was told that there was an ajustment in the radio to correct this.
Is this true and if it is could someone please tell me what to do or howe to fix this

I think the info you received was incorrect. You can try adding a speech processor or a microphone with a tone adjustment (Astatic 575-M6).

I'm not aware of such an adjustment in the VR9000 (I own one, too). I use the Astatic 575M-6 power microphone on mine (as Tech 181 suggested) and it REALLY works well. I get great reports, including audio reports, using this mic on the VR900! It has a gain control and a tone control. I have mine set all the way down toward BASS, which works best for me, but you could also increase the treble to get rid of some of that bass in your audio.

The Astatic 575M-6 costs around $50-$60 retail and it's worth every penny!

creamer:Get a good radio check from someone else.The guy you got the report from may have a receive problem in his radio.Don't go out trying to buy a quick fix.Also you may be running too much echo.73's
