i want to run my maco tube linear in my wifes truck what im curious is if i get a big converter from 12 volts to 120 v ac will i use less amps to run my linear than if i just use a 300 watt dc amp? in other words will i draw off of the battery say 40 amps or will i draw less because of the converter for ac?? just trying ac class come on.....thanks |

Billyboyboyboy is right. Plus it would be cheaper just to buy a mobile amp than buying a converter that big. |

just was curious if it would pull less on the alternator than if using a dc amp. oh well . later thanks. |

Power is power. You can't take 30 watts and turn it into 50 without some other source. Adding a converter would cause more power loss. |
