307 I own a Connex 3300 that I bought recently in auction. Its an older model. It has one annoying problem. When I turn it on in my pick up in the morning it works fine; it blasts. The problem is this: In the afternoon when I turn it on and key up it squeals big time but only in the afternoon. My guess is that the rise in SWR due to conditions in the afternoon is making the final oscillate/crystal ??. Is this possible ? Will adjusting the bias solve this and if it will which VR is the one to turn. Wierd.... |
