Flybynight To have both 10 and 11 meter operation, do the following. ------------------------------------------------ 1. Hook up radio to power and turn on for a minimum of 10 seconds. 2. Turn off radio and disconnect from all power sources and remove bottom cover. 3. Remove or cut Diode D2 from rear of LCD board. This is the only Non-Surface Mount component found in this area. 4. Reset radio CPU by temporarily shorting the two front panel circuit board pads located just right of black potentiometer. 5. Hook the radio back up to power and turn on. 6. Press the FUNC button, then press and hold the CALL button for 3 seconds or more. The band indicator will then appear on LCD. Repeatedly pushing the CALL button will change bands. To switch between channel and frequency display, press the FUNC button and then press the CALL button. When turned off and on again, the radio will always default to the original 10 meter settings. To automatically return to last used frequency and mode, press the FUNC button and then press and hold the CALL button for approx. 3 seconds. Another way to return to the last used frequency and mode is to just push the LCR button after radio is turned back on again. Pushing this button will return you to the last frequency and mode that you last transmitted on. --------------------------------------------- Mic Pin & Description 1-Audio 2-Receive 3-Transmit 4-Ground = Channel Down, 2.2K ohm to Pin 3 = Channel UP 5-Ground and Switch common 6-13.8 Volts. Watch it, this is not current limited. --------------------------------------------- Variables RV-1 S-Meter Signal Strength RV-4 AMC, AM Modulation RV-8 RF Output Meter RV-9 ALC, SSB Modulation and Peak Power. RV-14 FM Carrier Power RV-16 AM Carrier ---------------------------------------------- If you have any problems, Email me. Jeff, kc0gxz. |

Jeff, thank's for your reply. However, the instrution's you gave arent matching the radio i have.No FUNC button on it,nor no CALL button. The back of the LCD board look's somewhat similiar but no d102.All part's on the back are smt.I know i could'nt find anything on the web about it.Let me know if you have any other idea's. Thank's! |

Jeff,i figured it out. With the radio upside down and facing you, bottom cover off. There'll be a board mounted straight back from the mic plug on the side of the radio. You'll see a black jumper there on pin's 1&2.Move it over to pin's 2&3.That's it! AMC=RV 5 Am Power=Rv 4 |

Flybynight I'm sorry. My mistake. That means your radio is identical to the Eagle Sidewinder 400. Very simple mod. Just a jumper. I apoligize for the mix-up. Jeff, kc0gxz. |
