I just got a old one tuber today and cant figure out who made it. It has one 6lq6 in it. The cover is red and the power cord is also red. The face is white with a thin blue line that runs across from left to right and in the lower right corner in large #'s it says 606 on it.Their is to knobs on it the fist is off-ssb-stand by,and operate. The other one is for tune. It also has a green light in the right corner to I belive. Any gues's Now for that 6lq6, I heard that thier is a converson out that replaces it with a el509 or el519. Can any one give me some insite on how to do this. And what should I exspect from it when completed. Thanks for any help or gues's in advance. And 73's to all. |

10ring I remember years ago seeing a base amplifier such as you described with a red cord and cover and the face being white. If memory serves me, in blue lettering across the front it had the name "FireBird". However, I could be very wrong because I have also seen FireBirds without the red cord. thanks for the replys they are apreciated I belive it to be a fire bird , I went to a freinds house and he had a apollo with the same tell tale sings except for the red cover and said he had seen a fire bird that looked the same with the red cover and belives the same people make the two. |
