hello there . does any one know if copper or someone that is as good as copper still carries (sells) the old ranger 2950's . i use to have one when i was into radios and would like to buy another one. i understand there is another 2950 out on the market . it is the 2950 dx . can anyone tell me what the diffrence is . if anyone has a answer for me can you email at sjm4941@yahoo.com thank you very much. |

scott I don't know about the old 2950. But I do have the 2950 DX in my car and it works great.And I have talked all over the U.S. so far. I have to old style 2970 for my base and that works great also. I have made some contacts on it that I only would have dreamed of on my antique radio. 73's take care Len # 111 So Minnesota |

thanks len for the information on the ranger 2950. there is now another question to you or anyone who reads this. is the old one and the new 2950dx still modifyable to the 11 meter range. i had the old one along time ago and had a guy do it for me and would like to purchase another one. thank you .. scott |

Scott yes it is. You can get with 11 meter. All you gave to do is ask when you order it. Like I said the 2950 DX I have in my car can talk. Any way I hope you have some good Dxing also. 73's Scott. Take care Len # 111 So Minnesota. Oh and listen to Copper Fan he knows what he talking about. |

thanks copper fan and len for the information ,. it was very helpful to me in my decision in the type of radio i want to run in the truck. cant wait till i get the money saved up to buy one. still deciding a little on which one to buy but i will make up my mind sooner or later. thanks again for both of your help . scott |

I have a 2950dx and i fond it to be even better than my old 2950. And yes it is easy to expand to 11 meters. just add the module that is supplyed to the little connecter just behind the face. then add the shrink wrap and turn it on it resets to 24-32 mgz. |
