Just wondering if you can change the fusing in the 6ga. wiring kit that Copper sells and if so how?Does Copper sell the fuses or what? I want to order one but only have about a 35 to 40 amp draw. Just want to run this size wire now in case I want to get a bigger amp later? |

The fuse is there in the event the wiring arcs moreso than to prevent the amp from smoking. The idea is to keep your ride from burning down or battery from exploding, 60a fuse will blow as quickly as a 40 in this event. |

So if I put a fuse at the amp to prevent killing it the fuse at the battery will do its job and save the truck? |
