OK I HAVE A ECHO BOARD ON ORDDER IT SHOULD COME SOON. MY QUESTION IS IF IT IS A 8 VOLT ECHO BOARD WHERE DO I GET THE 8 VOLTS FROM. I SEEM TO REMEMBER A RESISTER FROM THE 12 VOLTS IN OFF OF POWER JACK BUT CANT REMEMBER WHAT IT WAS FOR VALUE. AT LEAST I THINK THIS IS A 8 VOLT ECHO BOARD IT HAS VOICE CHANGER / ROBOT/ AND ECHO. IS IT 12 VOLTS OR 8 VOLTS AND HOW DO I GET THE VOLTAGE. THANKS.

The best way is to go to Radio Shack and get a 7808 regulator. About 2 bucks. There are three pins on it , Left to Right they are +12 volts in , Ground , +8 volts out. The Fastest way is to grab the +8 volt regulator in the radio.

ok if i get the 8 volts of of the regulator in the radio with the connex board will it burn up the regulator?? with that extra pulling power on it?? i reall want to put this kit in so info is helpful. thanks

Don't forget the filter capacitor if you add a regulator. Fixed regulators don't work properly without a small filter cap on the output.
