I JUST PURCHASED A KL 203 LINEAR AMP. IN YOUR AD IT SAYS OPERATES AT 25 TO 30 MHZ. ON THE BOX IT SAYS "OPERATES IN 10 METERS ONLY" IS THIS THE CORRECT UNIT TO USE WITH A 40 CH CB??? OR IS IT FOR A 10 METER RADIO ONLY??? I TRIED IT WITH A COBRA ST 38 HAND HELD CB AND EXPERIENCED A POWER DROP! DOES IT REQUIRE MORE PRE DRIVE???? I WILL HAVE A GALAXY 949 WITHIN A WEEK. WILL IT WORK WITH THIS??? KEN |

Ken, First of all, don't try to use this piece of equipment with a walkie talkie. The KL203 will work how you want it to, when you run it with your Galaxy. Don't worry about the 25-30 MHz thing. Steve Tech181 Tech181@copperelectronics.com |

Was just wondering about this amp.I ordered the MOD163 and got the 203. I guess it is the same amp specs. I wasnted to know if the jumper inside has top be moved to work properly on 11 meter.I moved it and it works but I dont want to screw anything up. Does the jumper really matter? What about the overheating problem? I added a fan but should not have to with input wattage at what is recommended. |
